Il Museo di Panarea è una Sezione staccata del Museo di Lipari.

Inaugurato nel 2006 è ospitato in due locali e si articola in due sale . Nella prima, oltre ad alcuni reperti archeologici, risalenti al periodo neolitico e all’ età del bronzo, viene proposto l’ aspetto geologico, vulcanologico e naturalistico dell’ isola.

I reperti provengono dalla Calcara, da Piano Quartara, e da Capo Milazzese.
Un plastico, poi, riproduce i pozzetti trovati nella zona della Calcara, risalenti sempre all’ età del bronzo.

Nella seconda sala, oltre ad alcuni frammenti di ceramica a vernice nera di età greco- romana,vi sono anche arredi funerari provenienti dalla necropoli di Drautto, due cippi funerari di cui uno trovato a Basiluzzo risalenti tra il V e il IV secolo a.C. Molti sono i rinvenimenti subacquei: anfore provenienti da relitti e vasellame vario.
Il Museo è in via di ampliamento.
